Most scheduled monuments are not occupied buildings and have no postal address or postcode of their own. In rural and coastal areas, the nearest geocodable postal address may be several miles away.

A Bronze Age disc barrow, listed by Grinsell as Winterbourne Stoke 34. Excavations in the early 19th century by Colt Hoare located a primary cremation with a bronze awl. The barrow is extant as circular bank and ditch circa 53 metres in diameter. There is no trace of the central mound, which appears to have been ploughed away. 6 to 8 post holes along the edge of the outer ditch have reportedly been seen as cropmarks.
