Most scheduled monuments are not occupied buildings and have no postal address or postcode of their own. In rural and coastal areas, the nearest geocodable postal address may be several miles away.

Earthworks of a Medieval moat. Field investigations in 1977 found it to be D-shaped in plan, complete on all but the northwest side which had been filled in. It encloses a level platform measuring 38 metres by 40 metres which rises up to 1.5 metres above the bottom of the now silted, but damp ditch between 8 metres to 11 metres wide. The inner edge of the northwest side was discernible as a scarp up to 0.2m high. No causewayed entrance or internal structures were recorded.
