Earthworks of a Medieval moat at Clapper's Farm. Field investigations in 1982 found it to comprise a wet ditch with an average width of 10 metres. Access to the interior was not possible: it was overgrown and appeared to be raised about 1 metre above the general level outside the moat. A flat topped bank about 7 metres wide and 1 metres high, with vestiges of an outer ditch, was situated about 20 metres from the south, east and west sides of the moat. It was thought to be a later enclosure. To the northwest was a water-filled ditch, about 60 metres long and 8 metres wide. It was probably dug as a small fish-pond. The earthworks are scheduled.
