The nearest postcode is an aid to location, and does not necessarily reflect the actual address of the monument. Most scheduled monuments are not occupied buildings and have no postal address or postcode of their own. In rural and coastal areas, the nearest geocodable postal address may be several miles away.
A possible Bronze Age round barrow is visible as earthworks of an amorphous mound on aerial photographs. The barrow is shown as a mound surrounded by a ditch on the Ordnance Survey first edition map of 1882 but the ditch has not been visible or recorded since then. It was 30 paces in diameter and three and a half feet high when seen in 1936 by Grinsell but is now visible as a low mound, one metre high, which measures 17m across.
