Nearest Postcode

The nearest postcode is an aid to location, and does not necessarily reflect the actual address of the monument. Most scheduled monuments are not occupied buildings and have no postal address or postcode of their own. In rural and coastal areas, the nearest geocodable postal address may be several miles away.

Allegedly three but in all probability only two bowl barrows on All Cannings Down (Grinsell's All Cannings 11, 13 and 14). One (All Cannings 11) survives as an earthwork, though it has been damaged by ploughing. The other two probably represent the same barrow "discovered" on two separate occasions. This barrow survived only as a soilmark when investigated by the Ordnance Survey in 1974. Only one barrow could be seen as a low earthwork mound at SU 1022 6538 during AP transcription by the RCHME.
