Notes

Medieval pottery kilns and production sites, suggested by documentary references, either at or within the vicinity of Sandal Castle. The documentary references include the placenames of `Le Pottargrenedales' documented in Liversedge during the 13th century and `Le Kilngrenes' documented in Sandal in 1314. There was also a potter mentioned at Emley in 1218-19.
