Most scheduled monuments are not occupied buildings and have no postal address or postcode of their own. In rural and coastal areas, the nearest geocodable postal address may be several miles away.
A cairn, 60 ft. in diameter and 4 ft. high, in Haddon field, near the river Lathkiln, almost opposite to Conksbury was opened 31.6.1824 when a cist was found near the centre containing human bones, some cremated, and four urns. A hoard of 4th century copper coins, part of a glass vessel and lead ore were also found. The tumulus is now visible as a much spread mound.
