Post medieval granite guide post marking the junction of two major routs. Medieval crosses were suplimented by posts in 1742 along the spinal rout. In 1769 the rout over bodmin moor and passing this junction was turnpiked. The style of this post indicates that it pre dates 1769. The spinal rout was re-alighed in 1820 and the post therefore lost its primary function, though it still lay on the road to Camelford. Scheduled and listed.
