Four possible Bronze Age round barrows located west of Oldbury hillfort (SU 06 NW 27), Grinsell's Calne Without 2, 2a, 2d (all bowl barrows) and 2b (a saucer barrow). All are extant as earthworks except 2, which Ordnance Survey field investigation suggested may not have been a barrow at all, primarily because of its scarp slope location. Also noted by the Ordnance Survey was a circular depression surrounded by a bank which may represent a pond barrow unnoticed by Grinsell. Round barrows 2a, 2b and the possible pond barrow are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs.
