Earthworks of a Medieval moated site. Field investigations in 1971 found it to measure 60 metres east-west by 70 metres north-south; the west arm was 15 metres in width and waterfilled, the south arm 9.0 metres in width, the east arm 10 metres in width, with an outer retaining bank 6 metres wide and 0.7 metres high. There were only traces of the north arm. The original entrance appeared to be at the northwest corner.
