The nearest postcode is an aid to location, and does not necessarily reflect the actual address of the monument. Most scheduled monuments are not occupied buildings and have no postal address or postcode of their own. In rural and coastal areas, the nearest geocodable postal address may be several miles away.
A ring ditch 22 metres in diameter, visible as cropmarks on air photographs, is scheduled as a bowl barrow. It can probably be identified with one recorded but not excavated by Mortimer. In 1974 the Ordnance Survey could find no surface traces, although 20 years later, the schedule description refers to a mound 24 metres in diameter and surviving to a height of 0.3 metres. This site was originally recorded as part of SE 86 SW 19. That record should be consulted for additional sources and information.
