A Bronze Age bowl barrow, listed by Grinsell as Avebury 48, and located circa 800 metres south east of Windmill Hill. During the 1920s there were reported to be a number of stone boulders or slabs associated with this mound. A ditch surrounding the west side of the barrow is also visible as a cropmark. A second mound, again described as a bowl barrow, is reported nearby and is visible as a cropmark on air photographs.
