The nearest postcode is an aid to location, and does not necessarily reflect the actual address of the monument. Most scheduled monuments are not occupied buildings and have no postal address or postcode of their own. In rural and coastal areas, the nearest geocodable postal address may be several miles away.
Priory and graveyard wall, 13th and 18th century respectivly. Mixed squared and coursed calciferous and red sandstone rubble (from the nearby Roman Wall). Low wall, probably reduced in height, forming the north wall of the former priory. Footpath entrance with chamfered surround is probably a later insertion. The later graveyard wall adjoins the north transept and built of materials from the demolished priory. Listed and scheduled.
