The nearest postcode is an aid to location, and does not necessarily reflect the actual address of the monument. Most scheduled monuments are not occupied buildings and have no postal address or postcode of their own. In rural and coastal areas, the nearest geocodable postal address may be several miles away.
The scheduled monument includes a moated site at Newlands Farm. The moated site includes a quadrangular raised platform with dimensions of 88m by 95m surrounded by moat ditches. All the moat ditches are intact except the western arm, which has been partly infilled. At the south western corner of the moat platform is a rectangular depression which represents the site of a building which occupied the moat platform. At the south eastern coner of the moat platform there are the remains of a partly silted fishpond.
