Cropmarks of a probable Roman settlement identified from aerial photographs as part of the RCHME Thames Valley NMP in 1993. The settlement was located in a valley, situated between Hambleden and the River Thames. It was also accompanied by a field system, trackway and a road. The buildings included a possible temple or shrine situated next to another building of some importance. The settlement may have been associated with Hambleden villa complex to the west (SU 78 NE 5) and the villa at Mill End. (SU 78 SE 4).
