The nearest postcode is an aid to location, and does not necessarily reflect the actual address of the monument. Most scheduled monuments are not occupied buildings and have no postal address or postcode of their own. In rural and coastal areas, the nearest geocodable postal address may be several miles away.
The monument includes part of a late medieval standing cross situated in its original position 30 metres south of the Church of St Paul. The cross has a socket stone and part of a cross shaft. The square socket stone is chamfered at the top to form an octagon and rests on a rendered brick base. The lower half of a cross shaft, rectangular in section, sits on the base. At the top of this fragment of the cross shaft there are the remains of an arm. The cross is Scheduled and Listed Grade II.
