The earthwork remains of a Medieval motte located 230m NW of Nant-y-bar which were mapped from aerial photographs. The motte is surrounded by a circular ditch and on the top of the motte are a number of pits of unknown origin. The mound is 32 metres in diameter and 3 to 4 metres high and may be set on an an earlier feature such as a burial mound. The ditch is 5 metres in width and up to 0.3 metres in depth but on the south and east sides it has been reduced by silting to a terrace-like feature 5 metres wide. A bailey would seem likely on the north side, although this has been very heavily ploughed and no evidence of any features are visible. There is possibly a small triangular enclosure on the west side of the mound. Scheduled.
