Notes

Remains of a medieval moat within which is the 18th century Moat House. The moat is now dry and forms a feature in the garden of the house. The moat is square with stone lined sides. The material removed to make the moat was used to build a small dam. There is a causewayed entrance on the east side but the original entrance was via a bridge to the north. The moat is scheduled, the house is excluded from the scheduling.
