Most scheduled monuments are not occupied buildings and have no postal address or postcode of their own. In rural and coastal areas, the nearest geocodable postal address may be several miles away.
A Roman period farmstead and associated curvilinear enclosures are located on a low ridge approximately 770m ESE of Old Church Roman Fort (NY 56 SW 20). The farmstead is dated by excavation to the late 3rd to early 4th Centuries AD. Parts of the associated enclosures are visible as cropmarks on an aerial photograph, which highlights features such as infilled ditches.
