Most scheduled monuments are not occupied buildings and have no postal address or postcode of their own. In rural and coastal areas, the nearest geocodable postal address may be several miles away.
Iron Age and / or Roman settlement enclosures, two of which are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs. The existence of the eastern half of a third enclosure, as well as a fourth enclosure lying to the east, were confirmed by antiquarian investigation. The cropmarks extend over an area which measures 125m long by 83m wide although the features probably continue to the east, beyond an extant field boundary. They comprise one complete sub-rectangular enclosure, which contains two smaller sub-rectangular ditched enclosures which could represent buildings, plus what appears to be the western half of a similar enclosure situated 23m to its south-east, both of which are defined by a single narrow ditch. Scheduled.
