Most scheduled monuments are not occupied buildings and have no postal address or postcode of their own. In rural and coastal areas, the nearest geocodable postal address may be several miles away.

A series of rectangular and oval enclosures on Horton Down are visible on air photographs as earthworks and cropmarks. These could be the remains of a prehistoric, Roman, Medieval or Post Medieval settlement. The oval enclosure, measures 60m by 40m. It is rectilinear with a convex west side. A possible internal feature was visible but it was very indistinct. A further five enclosures are attached to the north, west and south sides of this enclosure. These are all rectilinear and measure from 30m by 25m to 60m by 60m.
