The nearest postcode is an aid to location, and does not necessarily reflect the actual address of the monument. Most scheduled monuments are not occupied buildings and have no postal address or postcode of their own. In rural and coastal areas, the nearest geocodable postal address may be several miles away.
Four small round mounds, probably Medieval or Post Medieval in date, are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs and have been mapped by English Heritage's Gloucestershire NMP. The mounds appear to have been constructed on top of extant Medieval ridge and furrow, and are probably of a later date than the Medieval fields. Their size and location suggest that they may be pillow mounds or stack stands, possibly associated with the moated site at Aston Magna.
