Most scheduled monuments are not occupied buildings and have no postal address or postcode of their own. In rural and coastal areas, the nearest geocodable postal address may be several miles away.
A field system surviving as slight lynchets and low stone banks, as well as several stone clearance heaps. At least one hut circle is associated with the field system. A piece of cindery slag was found protruding through the peat by an Ordnance Survey field investigator in the northwest side of the hut circle. An adjacent rock shelter features a number of gritstone slabs on end around the base of the overhang. The field system and related features have been suggested to be Bronze Age, although clearly firm dating evidence is lacking. Scheduled.
