The monument includes the earthwork remains of medieval or post medival agricultural remains which are overlain in places by the earthwork remains of the Mount Pleasant lead mines (SK 26 SE 72). The remains take the form of a series of cultivation terraces and lynchets which extend over an area immediately south of Wensley village, on the south side of a small valley. Scheduled. Medieval strip lynchets and cultivation terraces are visible as earthworks on air photographs. Nearly all are still extant on Next Perspectives PGA Tile Ref: SK2660 23-AUG-2007 photography.
