A Bronze Age round barrow, visible on aerial photographs, 23 metres in diameter and 1.5 metres high. It was excavated in 1996 an a substantial part of the barrow was removed, although a rectangular are was left in order preserve in situ a proportion of the deposits. The excavation found the remains of the cremation of an adult male and animal bones but no other grave goods. The cremated remains of an adult and probably a child were deposited in the side of the mound at a latter date. The excavation also uncovered traces of Late Mesolithic/Early Neolithic activity. In 1997 the excavation was backfilled and the mound reshaped to return the barrow to its form prior to excavation. Scheduled.
