A Bronze Age round barrow is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs. The site is comprises an oval mound which measures between 13 and 16 metres in diameter and 1.2 metres high. This site has been mapped as part of the Cotswolds Hills National Mapping Programme.
I think the mound you are refering to was made by my father Eddie Chesshire in the early 60s when he cleared all the trees from taylors hill with a macanical diger. the field on the top was regulary use for crops and the tump on the side was made up of old tree roots and large stones
