A prehistoric cairnfield and associated field system located 350 metres west of The Knott. The cairnfield consists of 39 oval-shaped cairns grouped into 4 small clusters. Within the cairnfield is a small fieldor plot, relatively stone-free, flat and well-drained, which is interpreted as a prehistoric field, deliberately cleared of stone to allow the land to be used for agricultural cultivation or stock enclosure. Some of the cairns at the northern and southern ends of the cairnfield form alignments which are thought to represent the lines of old field boundaries. Scheduled.
