Most scheduled monuments are not occupied buildings and have no postal address or postcode of their own. In rural and coastal areas, the nearest geocodable postal address may be several miles away.
Part of Force Crag Mine. The site of the earliest mill and processing area of the mine, in use between approximately 1839 and 1881. Some of the area has been destroyed by roadstone quarrying carried out in the early 1960s, but there is probably good sub-surface preservation of the washing floor and slimes pits. Scheduled.
