Most scheduled monuments are not occupied buildings and have no postal address or postcode of their own. In rural and coastal areas, the nearest geocodable postal address may be several miles away.

The remains of an early medieval midden preserved beneath wind-blown sand. Finds of Bronze Age, Iron Age, Roman artefacts, especially Mediterranean imports, and the remains of several wooden structures of the post-Roman period, suggest that this may have been a seasonal trading settlement in the 5th-7th centuries. Scheduled.
