Romano-British farmstead and Iron Age buildings, field systems and hollow ways in the southern part of Holt Down Plantation. Exacavation on Holt Down in 1923 uncovered flint and mortar walls belonging to Romano British buildings. Survey in 1997 showed that the buildings existed within an extensive field system. Further field evidence continued to the north and south but these areas have been heavily damaged by arable farming. Finds relating to both Iron AGe and Romano British periods have been recorded. Scheduled.
