A round barrow located in the middle of Howdale Moor. The circular barrow mound is composed of earth and stones and measures 7 metres in diameter and 0.5 metre high. Scheduled.Following a wild fire in September 2003 which destroyed the ground vegetation on Brow Moor, Howdale Moor and Stony Marl Moor, the archaeology of this area was subject to detailed recording. However, the round barrow described above was neither visible through photogrammetric recording nor investigation in the field.
