Most scheduled monuments are not occupied buildings and have no postal address or postcode of their own. In rural and coastal areas, the nearest geocodable postal address may be several miles away.
The remains of a round cairn on Cowgate Rigg. The cairn mound is stony and measures 14 metres in diameter, standing up to 0.7 metre high. The cairn was originally surrounded by a kerb of stones, but only a few of these are still visible, around the north eastern edge of the mound. A hollow in the centre of the mound represents partial excavation in the past. Scheduled.
