Most scheduled monuments are not occupied buildings and have no postal address or postcode of their own. In rural and coastal areas, the nearest geocodable postal address may be several miles away.
Beacon Hill bowl barrow excavated in 1935 and found to contain 5 Bronze Age cinerary urns. Neolithic flints and possible Roman or saxon sherds were also found. A late 6th or 7th century cinerary urn was found among the barrows in 1935, presumably a secondary inhumation. Used as a beacon in the Post-Mediaeval period.
