Notes

A Second World War type 24 pillbox located in the grounds of the Ralegh's Cross Hotel. The pillbox was constructed in 1940-41 and is built of reinforced concrete and brick. It is hexagonal in plan, with an doorway in the southern wall and an embrasure in each of the remaining five walls. A field visit in 1996 found the structure extant and in a good condition.
