Remains of fishponds north west of Mercaston Hall Farm, surviving as a series of three depressions. It is difficult to date them precisely, but it is thought that they formed part of the medieval manor of Mercaston. The well-defined earthworks are up to 1.5 metres deep and are linked by narrow channels. The flow of water between the ponds would have been controlled bty sluices, set into these channels. These features have been mapped as part of the Derbyshire and Peak District Aggregates Assessment Survey.
