The nearest postcode is an aid to location, and does not necessarily reflect the actual address of the monument. Most scheduled monuments are not occupied buildings and have no postal address or postcode of their own. In rural and coastal areas, the nearest geocodable postal address may be several miles away.
Building remains, possibly William Brewer's Hunting Lodge are visible at this reference. The remains consist of the footings of a rectangular building c. 6.5m E-W by 3m internally. Only the north wall is well-defined, the other sides having been robbed. There is a possible entrance on the E side. 12m to the NNW of the footings is an oval hollowed area c 5m by 3m which is thought to represent possible charcoal burning platforms.
