Most scheduled monuments are not occupied buildings and have no postal address or postcode of their own. In rural and coastal areas, the nearest geocodable postal address may be several miles away.
The cross now standing near the North boundary of Clowance grounds, formerly stood at Binnerton Cross. It was used as part of a watercourse in connection with Binnerton Mine before being removed and set up at Clowance c 1883. It is set in the broken base of a cross which once stood at Cattebedron (SW 63 NW9). The base had been used as part of a steeping-stile near Cattebedron.
