Circular mound situated in Shobdon Park, south of the church. It has been described as a small motte, or possible belvedere mount connected with Shobdon Court. Excavation carried out by the Birmingham Univeristy Field Archaeology Unit in 1977/78 revealed a large central hollow and fifteen post holes in the disturbed upper surface, possibly representing the foundations of a post-mill. A wood-lined well or pit was identified in the northeast area.
It was suggested at the time of excavation, by the excavators that it was in fact an ice house, for Shobdon Court.
