House. Built 1937 by Georg Nemes, in the Expressionist style. Brick rendered. Plaintile irregular shaped hipped roof. Central stack. West front: 2 storeys with basement. Groundand 1st storeys of 3 bays. Central recessed bay. Off-centre doorway to left with wooden door with organic growth design grille. To right, French windows give onto the terrace. To right again, a 2-light,steel framed window. Above, central Frenchwindows with protecting iron balcony rails. Interior: unaltered, and retaining original fittings. Ground floor plan has centrally placed straight flight staircase and angled fireplace in large L shaped living room. The house was designed in accordance with the precepts of philosopher Rudolf Steiner.
