Notes

Earthworks to the south of the present village indicate it is a shrunken village. The earthworks appear to be possible tofts and ponds, as well as a raised platform surrounded by a partially dry ditch which is thought to be either a manoral or farmstead enclosure. The site has never been ploughed but is grazed extensively
