The nearest postcode is an aid to location, and does not necessarily reflect the actual address of the monument. Most scheduled monuments are not occupied buildings and have no postal address or postcode of their own. In rural and coastal areas, the nearest geocodable postal address may be several miles away.
The outlines of some of the structures can be seen on google maps aerial view. The site is near some spring fed lakes, as far as I am aware the only natural chalk spring fed lakes to feed into the Thames. This would have provided ample drinking water for a community in the area.
During the summer the Chilterns and Berkshire Downs would have provided a stunning backdrop to the Henge at Sunset as the hills are lit by the sunlight.
The henge would have been situated in the first dry field on the banks of the Thames, any closer to the Thames and it would have been prone to flooding.
On the other bank of the Thames is Cholsey Reed beds.
