Roman corridor villa found in Titsey Park in 1847 and excavated 1864-93. It was found to contain tessellated floors. The site may have also been used as a possible fulling mill, possible fishponds were also located. Earlier occupation was also recorded and included finds of a hourglass perforated macehead, a Neolithic polished flint axe, Bronze Age and Iron Age pottery. The finds are in the Titsey Collection, Guildford Museum.
