The church is roofless, apart from a shelter protecting the carved stones at the west end, and measures 14.5 by 6.1m, within walls 0.9m thick. It appears to date from the early 13th century, but the
masonry has been heavily repointed and most of the openings repaired
in the 19th century and in 1926. A collection of carved gravestones dating from the Early Christian period to the 16th century has been gathered together inside the church. These, and the church itself
are described in the accompanying documentation. The area to be scheduled includes the church, the ground within it and the ground extending for 2m around it, as shown in red on the accompanying map.
