The monument comprises the remains of a hut circle of prehistoric date.
The monument occupies the summit of a low rocky knoll at around 110m OD. It comprises a hut circle, the remains of a prehistoric roundhouse. This is some 12m in internal diameter, defined by a low grass-covered stony bank.
A smaller, oval structure appears to adjoin it to the E, although this may be simply be the remains of a much later bothy. A level area with signs of former enclosing banks occupies the level ground immediately to the N of the hut circle. This may be the remains of a contemporary yard.
The area to be scheduled encompasses the remains described above and an area around them in which traces of associated activity may be expected to survive. It is circular with a diameter of 55m as marked in red on the accompanying map.
