The monument comprises a kerb cairn of Neolithic or Bronze Age date.
The monument is situated in a modern plantation. It comprises a circular stone cairn, measuring about 10m in diameter and 0.75m in height. The cairn is delineated by 25 contiguous kerb stones which are graded in size, with the largest to the SW. One of the stones is decorated with at least four cup-markings.
Although the area within the kerb has probably been robbed of surface stonework, the cairn, and the area around it, may still be expected to contain evidence of burials and other ritual deposits. The cairn is set centrally upon a stony platform, some 14m in diameter and 0.2m in height, which appears to be substantially artificial.
The area proposed for scheduling comprises the remains described and an area around them within which related material may be expected to be found. It is circular with a diameter of 40m, as marked in red on the accompanying map extract.
