The monument consists of the remains of a chapel of unknown date, located on E-sloping ground in an arable field. The monument, known as Cnoc an Teampuill, survives as an oval mound of stone which measures about 21m E-W by 18m N-S and is up to 1.5m high. Limited trenching some years ago revealed three short lengths of lime-mortar bonded wall which indicate the location of a rectangular building about 14m E-W by about 11m to 12m N-S within the mound. The date of the chapel is unknown.
The area to be scheduled measures 45m in diameter to include the probable chapel, the overlying mound of stone and an area round in which traces of activities associated with the construction and use of the chapel may survive, as shown in red on the attached map.
