The monument comprises an enclosed settlement of prehistoric date, visible as cropmarks on oblique aerial photographs.
The monument lies in arable farmland at around 40m OD. It comprises a C-shaped enclosure measuring about 20m in diameter with a ditch about 2m wide. The ditch extends out westwards into a hook some 8m in length, and there is an amorphous cropmark about 5m in diameter on the interior of this hook.
The area proposed for scheduling comprises the visible remains and an area around them within which related material may be expected to be found. It is circular with a diameter of 50m, as marked in red on the accompanying map extract.
