The monument comprises an enclosed settlement of prehistoric date, visible as a cropmark on oblique aerial photographs.
The monument lies in arable farmland, some 160m SW of Millhill at around 150m OD. It comprises a circular ditched enclosure with a diameter of about 20m. The ditch is between 1m and 2m in width. A gap in the ditch and a marked widening in the ditch terminals at the NE side of the enclosure mark the position of an entrance. Enclosed settlements of this type are characteristic of the Iron Age (around 2000 years ago).
The area proposed for scheduling comprises the remains described and an area around them within which related material may be expected to be found. It is irregular in shape, with a maximum SW-NE dimension of 45m and a maximum NW-SE dimension of 36m, as marked in red on the accompanying map.
