The monument comprises a roundhouse of prehistoric date, visible as a cropmark on oblique aerial photographs.
The monument lies at around 55m OD, on gently sloping land looking N over the valley of the River Earn. It comprises the remains of a substantial timber roundhouse, approximately 10-12m in diameter. Roundhouses such as this have a long history of use in the later prehistoric period, with most dating from the first millennium BC, although both earlier and later examples are known.
The area proposed for scheduling comprises the remains described and an area around them in which related material may be expected to be found. It is a circle, 40m in diameter, as shown in red on the accompanying map extract.

The monument is of national importance because of its potential to contribute to our understanding of prehistoric settlement and economy. Its importance is enhanced by its proximity to other monuments of potentially contemporary date.
