The monument comprises four Pictish symbol stones, with incised decoration, affixed to the wall of Inveraven parish church. The stones are decorated as follows:
1: Crescent and V-rod, triple disc and cross bar, mirror and comb;
2: fragment of head of "Pictish Beast";
3: large disc and rectangle, goose, mirror;
4: crescent and V-rod, "Pictish Beast".
The three larger stones stand upon the gravel of the path around the church; the smallest stone (2 above) does not touch the ground.
The area to be scheduled measures 7m E to W and 2m N to S, including all four stones, their metal fixings and that part of the church wall, from foundations to 3m above ground, to which the stones are affixed, as marked in red on the attached map.

The monument is of national importance as a group of four very fine Pictish carvings, which can contribute to our understanding of the art-historical and social context of Pictish symbol stones.
